TANGUB City’s Francis Dominic Lanzado emerged double winner again in the recently-concluded 16th leg of the 2013 Cebuana Lhuillier National Age Group Tennis series in Cagayan de Oro as he won the 16 & under and 18 & under titles at the expense of the same opponent.

Lanzado won both titles with the same scores, 7-5, 6-3 over local bet Dave Mosqueda and, even with five legs left, is already assured of MVP honors in this nation-wide developmental program initiated by sports patron Jean Henri Lhuillier in support of tennis in the Philippines.

Other boys’ division winners were Jose Ma. Pague from Zamboanga who beat Clyde Mari Casino, 7-5, 6-1, in the 14 & under finals, Iligan City’s Vince Serino in the 12 & under who was an-easy 6-2, 6-2 winner over Henry Garcia and multiple winner Surigao native Rupert Tortal in the mixed 10 & under division over Brent Cortes of Lanao del Norte, 4-0, 4-1.

In the girls’ side, Lanao del Norte’s Immaville Gervacio defeated Anjelica Mosqueda 6-2, 6-2 for the 16 & under crown but bowed to CDO’s Javelle Llavore, 5-7, 3-6 in the 18 & under finals.
