It was an easier route for Villareal in the girls 16 final, beating Cabral in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4.

Hannah Grace Espinosa, on the other hand, ruled the girls 18 category after pulling off a convincing a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Claire Lazaga, while Nonito Pepito bagged the unisex 10-under plum after crushing Ashton Benne Villanueva, 6-2, 6-1.

Dan Eldred Cinco defeated fellow Cebuano Marc Norman Enriquez, 6-3, 6-2 to go home with the champion's trophy in the boys 18, while Clyde Bienes dominated the boys 16 after outlasting Bais City's Kim Christian Ebarle, 6-2, 6-3.

Siquijor’s Kenneth Banico and Jan Marie Anghan lorded it over in the 12-under division. Banico stunned the country’s No. 3 player Duma Hakim Boloto of Marawi City, 7 5, 5-7, 10-7 in the boys division, while Anghan ruled the distaff side at the expense of Bohol’s Trixie Gudelosao, 6-3, 6-4.

It was no less a double whammy for Boloto as he also fell prey to Cebu’s Marc Suson in the boys 14 final, 1-6, 6-3, 10-3. (FREEMAN)
