Manila, Philippines – Big Chill will be aspiring for a semifinal spot in the PBA DLeague Foundation Cup when it faces RnW Pacific Pipes at the close of the elimination round Thursday.

The duel comes off at 2 p.m. at the Treston gym in Taguig City, with the Super Chargers going for their fourth straight win to book their second straight trip to the Final Four.

Beaujing Acot, coach of Cebuana Lhuillier, would be keeping his fingers crossed, though, hoping Big Chill gets beat.

“We did what we had to do. It’s now their turn. Their destiny is in their hands. Its up to them whether they want to play in the semis. But obviously there will be pressure,“ declared Acot after the Gems held off Erase Plantcenta, 84-77, on Tuesday to finish the eliminations with a 7-2 record and stay in contention for an outright semis berth.

If the event the two teams wound up tied, the Super Chargers (6-2) would earn a quick passage to the semifinals on the strength of the winner over the other rule. Big Chill routed Cebuana Lhuillier, 68-52, in their only encounter in the eliminations.

That would relegate Cebuana Lhuillier in the quarterfinals along with Blackwater Sports and RnW Pacific Pipes.
